Katelyn Hemmer has been involved in many BBA productions over the years.  In fall 2016 she was Head Technician of Almost, Maine, a play about love in a rural town.  In December 2016, Katelyn worked on a holiday show called Elf Express.  It ran 10 shows over a weekend for an audience of about 200 people per show.  In January of 2017, Katelyn helped run the New Works production, a show entirely written and choreographed by students attending Burr and Burton.  The next month, Katelyn was the choral sound technician for Prisms, a concert put on by the band that follows a different theme every year.  In Spring 2017, Katelyn was Production Stage manager of Pippin, the musical.  In fall 2017, Katelyn was Production Stage Manager for Harvey. That winter, Katelyn worked on Elf Express for a second year, running sound.  In Spring 2018, Katelyn worked as Production Stage Manager for RENT.

Model United Nations

Katelyn Hemmer is a member of the BBA Model United Nations (MUN) team, one of the top 25 MUN teams in North America.  Katelyn went to first conference, BOSMUN (Boston University) in February 2017.  Sophomore year, Katelyn took the MUN class at BBA and won an Honorable Mention at PMUNC (Princeton), a verbal commendation at ILMUNC (University of Pennsylvania), and an honorable mention at BOSMUN. In the 2018-2019 school year, Katelyn plans to attend the BUSUN (Brown), YMUN (Yale), DartMUN (Dartmouth), and BOSMUN Model United Nations conferences. 

Political action
Work

Katelyn works at the Copper Grouse, a restaurant attached to the Taconic Hotel in Manchester Vermont.

Katelyn also works as a farmhand at Miles to Go Farm, a small barn in Shaftsbury, Vermont that is the home to four miniature horses.  

Katelyn is very interested and involved in politics.  She participated in the Women's March on Washington in January 2017, and the March for Our Lives in March 2018.  

Katelyn will be working on the campaigns of several Vermont state candidates in the upcoming midterm elections.
